各位同學，

本人周烈金，Charlie Chau，是1968年聖士提反的畢業生，多年來都是寄宿生。 在校期間，我積極參與學校活動。我是校內的拯溺隊隊長，贏取過全港校際第一屆拯溺比賽總冠軍，為學校爭取殊榮。  我亦當過學長 (Prefect)，與前後多屆同學諗熟，有定期茶敍，船河，高球比賽，所以非常清楚不同屆別及已移居外國的同學的近況和需求。

自2004年至今，我在舊生會當了六屆Exco成員，曾任兩屆副會長。 任內積極參與會務，當過兩年聖誕節晚會主席，又發起及支持足球比賽，足球會成立至今，已甚具規模，會員達百多人。我亦被委派帶領籌款組，多年來籌募了不少經費，作為拓展會務和贊助各類體育活動之用。

本人若然當選今屆的舊生會會長，將會善用各會員的才幹，學校的資源以及外界和其他舊生的力量，使舊生會成為一個更強大和有效率的團體，建立更好的聲譽和號召力。並且會舉辦更多不同的聯誼和體育活動，團結不同年份的的舊生，集思廣益。這樣既可防止舊會員流失，亦可吸引其他舊生加入我們的團隊，令舊生會壯茁成長。

明年學校110週年和小學75週年紀念的各種活動，本人憑着以往在獅子會和童軍會多年做會長的經驗，帶領舊生會，配合和參與學校安排的各種活動，吸引更多本港及外國的舊生參與，協助學校舉辦一個成功而有意義的週年紀念。

本人己經為競選今年的舊生會會長一職做了充份的準備，希望能夠作為一度為學校和舊生溝通的橋樑，為各位同學作出更大的貢獻。

希望各位同學能夠支持我，投我信任的一票。本人一定會竭盡所能，服務各年份的舊生。多謝各位。

Dear Alumni

I am Arthur Chow (Class of 87), current Vice President of St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association (SSCAA). On behalf of our team, I would like to share our intention to run for 2012-13 executive committee election.

I have served the SSCAA for 7 years in total of which about 3 years were at a Vice President capacity.  Most recently, I was responsible for Communications in charge of revamping our Facebook page, website and newsletter which received a lot of positive feedback.  Together with the support from my running teammates, past presidents and teachers, I am confident that I am the right President candidate to unite the St. Stephen’s community and lead SSCAA for the new term.

We aim to bring our passion and professionalism in uniting SSC alumni.  We are an experienced team with 6 out of 10 members being a member of the executive committee or sub-committee member of SSCAA.

We need your help, Alumni

Starting from 2012/13, the SSCAA Career Mentoring Program is compulsory to all of the Form 5 students. As a result, we need as many mentors as possible.

The 4 parts mentoring program includes a 4-hour job shadowing for each student. If you are interested in being a SSC student mentor and contribute to SSC. Please send your resume or a brief description of your education background and working experience to our Mentoring Coordinator, Duncan Hui (dunkhui@gmail.com)

NOTICE is hereby given THAT Annual General Meeting of St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association and the First Annual General Meeting of the St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association Limited will be held on FRIDAY 14 September 2012 at 7:00pm (Registration from 6:30pm – 7:00pm) at King’s Cuisine Restaurant, 6/F., Windsor House, 311 Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong for the purpose of transacting the following businesss :

Notes :

1. This is the last AGM of St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association and the  First AGM of St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association Limited.  All members of St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association as at 8 August 2012 (date of incorporation of the Company) are automatically admitted to the corresponding category of membership in the Company.

2. Pursuant to Clause 37 of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company:
(1)              The President shall not remain in the same office for more than 2 consecutive terms – the current President Mr. Lee Tat Choy Samson is not eligible for re-election as President;
(2)              The President to be elected must be a present serving Executive Committee Member of St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association or a previous President or Vice President of St. Stephen’s College Alumni Association (otherwise than the current president);

3. In relation to the Company, a Member who is entitled to attend and vote at the above meeting is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and vote in his stead. Only Ordinary Members who have paid up his/her Membership Subscription or Life Members are entitled to vote.

4. A form of proxy for use at the meeting will be sent by post to all eligible Voting members.

5. Proxy forms must be lodged within 30 minutes prior to the meeting.

6. A copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company can be downloaded here.

8. Please note that Registration is essential to confirm attendees’ status as voting members.

9. A dinner will be held at the Restaurant after the AGM. Please contact Robert Pang as above if you wish to stay for dinner. (Cost of dinner will be shared by the participants)

Hundreds of millions of potentially toxic plastic spill on beaches… need help to clear and collect the plastic at St.Stephen’s Beach.

A few alumni are planning to help clean up St. Stephen’s Beach coming Saturday, 11 August.

Dear alumni,

We would like to inform you that certain facilities of Wilson Wang Water Sports Centre was damaged by Typhoon. Hence, the Wilson Wang Water Sports Centre is closed until further notice.

Furthermore, TSK Hall and the tennis court at North House are also being damaged, those facilities are not available for SSCAA Homecoming 2012.

We apologize for any inconvenience that may be caused.
